Chauffyr vs alternatives

How to Compare Chauffeur Services for Executive Travel

A neutral checklist for comparing chauffeur services: airport wait, meet & greet, upfront, price-locked quotes, licensing, FBO coverage, booking channels and delegation work.

A neutral guide to comparing chauffeur services on the points executive-travel buyers actually ask about. It lists the questions to put to any operator and gives Chauffyr's own published answer for each. It does not rank, price or describe other companies; verify every operator's answers against its own current terms.

What to expect

What this page compares and what it does not

This page is a checklist, not a ranking. For each question we explain why it matters and give Chauffyr's own published answer. We do not describe, price or score other companies: their terms change, and you should confirm them directly. We also do not compare on price in the abstract, because chauffeur quotes depend on the route, vehicle class, date and wait time. The fair comparison is a real quote for the same trip from each operator.

Airport wait, flight tracking and meet & greet

Ask how much waiting time is included at the airport, when it starts and what happens if the flight is late. Chauffyr includes 60 minutes of complimentary wait at commercial airports, timed from actual landing, and 15 minutes elsewhere. Flights are tracked so the pickup moves with the arrival. Meet & greet is available on airport bookings, and Chauffyr leaves the traveller's name off the sign by default for discretion unless you ask for it.

Quotes and what you actually pay

Ask whether the quote you accept is the price you pay, and which extras such as extra waiting time, extra stops or tolls are charged separately. Chauffyr gives upfront, price-locked quotes in USD before you book, and the quote lists what is included.

Licensing and operating model

Ask who holds the operating licence for the area and whether the car is the operator's own or comes from an affiliate. In the United States, Chauffyr LLC does business as Chauffyr; Got Luxury Ride Inc., DBA Global Luxury Ride, is the parent brand on file with the California PUC under TCP authority. Outside its own US fleet, Chauffyr arranges service through vetted affiliate operators and coordinates every booking from one 24/7 desk.

Private aviation and FBO coverage

If you fly privately, ask whether the operator knows the specific FBO at each airport and who answers the phone listed for it. Chauffyr's /fbo directory lists US private-aviation terminals and operators, and each phone number is marked as either the FBO's direct line or the Chauffyr desk. The desk number is never presented as an FBO's own switchboard.

Booking channels and changes

Ask how you reach a person when plans change at short notice. Chauffyr's 24/7 desk takes phone calls, texts and email, and the online quote form sits on top of those channels. Executive assistants can confirm and change trips by text without logging into a portal.

Delegations, roadshows and group moves

For delegations, roadshows and events, ask how the operator coordinates several vehicles, a lead contact and schedule changes. Chauffyr has dedicated pages for government delegations, embassies and corporate programmes that describe how these moves are planned. Confirm vehicle numbers, timings and contacts in writing for any multi-car booking.

Common questions

Is Chauffyr cheaper than other chauffeur services?

We do not claim that. Chauffeur operators generally quote per trip rather than publishing one public rate card, so an honest price comparison needs a real quote for the same route, vehicle class and date from each operator you are considering.

What should I ask any chauffeur service before booking?

Ask how long the chauffeur waits at the airport and whether that wait starts at actual landing, whether flights are tracked, who you contact if plans change, what licence the operator holds for the area, and whether the quote you receive is the price you pay.

How do I check whether an operator is licensed?

Use the regulator's own records rather than the operator's marketing. In California, charter-party carriers are licensed by the California Public Utilities Commission (TCP authority); other states and countries have their own transport regulators.

Does Chauffyr cover private aviation and FBOs?

Yes. Chauffyr publishes a /fbo directory of US private-aviation terminals and operators, and labels each listed phone number as either the FBO's own direct line or the Chauffyr 24/7 desk, so you know who will answer.

Can a company use more than one chauffeur operator?

Yes. Travel programmes commonly contract more than one ground-transport operator to cover different cities or peak dates. Chauffyr Corporate Accounts can run alongside any other operator a company already uses.
