Common questions
Can we run an invoiced account against the mission?
+
Yes. The standard setup is a Chauffyr Corporate Account with the mission as account holder, a named account manager, and consolidated USD invoicing, with each booking for the ambassador, DCM and senior staff confirmed in writing. No card is presented at pickup. Cost-centre or chargeback coding is applied at booking stage so the finance officer sees clean reconciliation.
Do you work national-day receptions?
+
Yes. We've done this at mission chanceries in Washington DC and consulates in New York and San Francisco.
Which US cities do you cover for mission work?
+
Washington DC and the IAD/DCA/BWI airports for the mission home base; New York (JFK, EWR, LGA, TEB) for UNGA, bilateral meetings and the diplomatic trade calendar; San Francisco (SFO) and Silicon Valley for technology-focused missions; Los Angeles, Miami, Boston, Houston, Chicago, Atlanta for consular networks. We serve 131 airports in 52 countries worldwide on the same desk.
How are vehicle registrations handled for sensitive runs?
+
Security requirements for sensitive runs are discussed with the mission's security officer during onboarding, and what can be accommodated is confirmed in writing before any booking.
Is diplomatic plating available on vehicles?
+
Not on Chauffyr vehicles — our fleet runs civilian registrations because the chauffeur team moves across embassies, business accounts and private aviation on the same vehicles. Where diplomatic plates are required (ambassadorial travel in the home jurisdiction), the mission provides the plated vehicle and Chauffyr provides the vetted chauffeur.
