Your privacy matters to us. This policy describes the cookies and similar technologies used on chauffyr.com and how you can control them, including your rights under California law.

1. About this Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Chauffyr (“Chauffyr,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on chauffyr.com and any related pages (the “Site”), and the choices available to you. It is designed to comply with the CCPA/CPRA.

2. What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember your actions and preferences over time. “Similar technologies” include pixels, tags, web beacons, local storage, and SDKs that perform comparable functions.

  • First-party cookies are set by Chauffyr.
  • Third-party cookies are set by service providers or other companies whose tools appear on the Site (analytics, embedded booking widget, etc.).
  • Session cookies expire when you close your browser; persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them.

3. Categories of cookies we use

Strictly necessary

Required for the Site to function and to remember your privacy choices. These cannot be switched off.

Performance & analytics

Help us understand how visitors use the Site — pages viewed, links clicked, and errors encountered — so we can improve it. We use Google Analytics 4 with Google Consent Mode: on public pages the Google tag loads with analytics and advertising storage set to “denied”, and it sends no measurement and sets no analytics cookies until you choose “Accept all” or switch on Analytics under “Customise”. Measurement runs only after you accept analytics; advertising signals stay off unless you also switch on Marketing. Google Analytics never runs on account, staff or other private pages, and the page addresses we send exclude query strings, so form entries, emails, phone numbers and flight numbers are not sent. If you reject, we store only that choice so the banner does not reappear, and you can change it at any time with Cookie preferences in the footer.

Functional

Remember choices you make (such as language) and enable features like our embedded reservation widget, maps, live flight-tracking, and the AI concierge (“Ava”).

Targeting & advertising

With marketing consent only, we also load Mobile Text Alerts’ conversion-tracking script on public pages for marketing measurement: it records the address of the public page you visit. It is not loaded on quote, reservation, flight-tracker or text-alert pages, on pages whose address carries anything other than utm_ campaign tags, or on account and staff pages, and no Mobile Text Alerts sign-up popup or form is shown. Rejecting or withdrawing marketing consent stops it.

We use Google Ads measurement and remarketing cookies only with marketing consent, that is, when you choose “Accept all” or switch on Marketing under “Customise”. Until then the Google tag runs with ad storage, ad user data and ad personalization set to “denied” and sends no requests to Google Ads; accepting analytics alone does not turn them on. With marketing consent, Google Ads may set advertising cookies to measure which ads lead to quote requests, calls, texts, WhatsApp messages or opening our booking system, and to show our ads to people who visited the Site. We send Google Ads no names, emails, phone numbers, trip details or query strings, and Google Ads never runs on account, staff or other private pages. Bookings completed inside the third-party booking widget are not visible to us or reported to Google Ads.

4. Third-party cookies and tools

  • Analytics providers (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Advertising measurement and remarketing (Google Ads), only with marketing consent.
  • Our payment processor (Stripe) on checkout pages, and our corporate-account login provider (MyLimoBiz).
  • Mapping and location providers used to display routes and airports.
  • Aviation data providers used for live flight-tracking, ETA and diversion features.
  • Event and ticketing data providers used to surface local events.
  • Communication tools (chat, email, and messaging links).

5. Personal information collected through cookies

  • Identifiers and online identifiers (IP address, device and cookie identifiers).
  • Internet or other electronic network activity (pages visited, referring pages, interactions).
  • Approximate geolocation derived from IP address.
  • Inferences drawn from the above.

7. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

You can opt out at any time by:

  • Enabling a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser — we treat a valid GPC signal as a request to opt out;
  • Adjusting your browser cookie settings to block or delete non-essential cookies;
  • Emailing book@chauffyr.com with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share.”

8. Global Privacy Control & Do Not Track

Where we detect a valid GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale/sharing of personal information for that browser/device.

9. How to manage or disable cookies

Most browsers let you view, manage, block, and delete cookies through their settings. Blocking some categories may affect how the Site functions.

10. Cookie retention

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device until they expire or you delete them.

11. Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” above.
