Pre-booking FAQ

Chauffyr chauffeur service — frequently asked questions.

The questions new guests ask the Chauffyr 24/7 concierge desk most often — booking, pricing, airport wait time, flight tracking, cancellation and corporate accounts. Each answer leads with the direct answer, then one or two sentences of context. For questions tied to a specific service, see the dedicated FAQ on the matching service page — airport transfers, hourly, corporate, FBO or wine tours — all linked below. For anything urgent, call +1-833-457-5466 — the desk answers 24/7.

How do I book a Chauffyr chauffeur?

Book online at /get-quote for an instant USD fare, by phone at +1-833-457-5466, or by email at book@chauffyr.com — all three reach the same 24/7 US-based desk. The online engine returns a fixed fare in about a minute; the desk confirms the booking in writing with chauffeur name, plate and vehicle class.

How does Chauffyr pricing work?

Every Chauffyr quote is a fixed, all-inclusive USD fare confirmed before you book — tolls, airport fees and fuel are already in the number. Point-to-point is quoted per leg; hourly is quoted per vehicle class with a four-hour minimum. There is no surge and no post-ride adjustment on standard routes.

How much is an airport chauffeur transfer with Chauffyr?

Sedan airport transfers start at $165 and Executive SUV at $185 inside Chauffyr’s California home-base network, with distance tiers added above included miles. Flat-rate airport car service in other markets is quoted live by the engine or desk — the number you see is the number you pay, with tolls and fees already baked in.

What is included in the Chauffyr airport wait time?

Every airport pickup includes 60 minutes of complimentary wait starting from actual landing, not scheduled landing — so a late flight never eats your grace period. Non-airport pickups include 15 minutes of complimentary wait. Beyond those windows, wait is billed in 15-minute increments at the booked class rate.

Do Chauffyr chauffeurs track my flight?

Yes — every airport booking is wired to the live FlightAware feed from pushback at the origin airport through wheels-down at the destination. If your flight is early, late or diverted, the chauffeur’s dispatch window moves with it automatically at no extra charge. Diverted flights are rebooked to the new airport without reopening the quote.

What is airport meet and greet with Chauffyr?

Meet & greet means your chauffeur holds a discreet name board at baggage claim and walks you to the staged vehicle, instead of waiting curbside. It is a $35 add-on for sedan and SUV, $135 for Executive Sprinter, and can be added any time before dispatch via the 24/7 desk. For private aviation, plane-side meets are the default where airport authority permits.

How early should I book a chauffeur service?

Standard point-to-point and airport transfers can be booked up to about three hours in advance in most Chauffyr markets, and sometimes same-hour inside the California home-base network. For Sprinter group bookings, FBO plane-side meets and multi-vehicle delegation programmes, book 24–72 hours ahead so the desk can lock vehicles, chauffeurs and FBO ramp clearance.

What is Chauffyr’s cancellation policy?

Point-to-point and airport bookings can be cancelled free up to 2 hours before pickup for sedan and SUV, and up to 24 hours before pickup for Sprinter classes. Cancellations inside those windows are charged at the booked base fare. Full policy details and class-specific rules live on /policies.

What vehicle classes does Chauffyr operate?

Chauffyr runs four vehicle classes — Business Sedan (Mercedes-Benz E/S-Class, up to 3 guests, 2 bags), Executive SUV (Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Suburban, Lincoln Navigator, up to 6 guests, 5 bags), VIP Jet Sprinter (up to 8 guests, captain’s chairs), and Executive Sprinter (up to 13 guests). All late-model, black-on-black, with bottled water and phone chargers in every row.

Does Chauffyr offer corporate accounts for business travel?

Yes — Chauffyr Corporate Accounts give travel managers a single login, saved rider profiles, cost centres, consolidated monthly invoicing and a dedicated concierge pod. Programmes integrate with Concur and Egencia on request and are available anywhere Chauffyr operates. Apply at /corporate-accounts and the account team contacts you within one business day.

Can I request a child seat with my Chauffyr booking?

Yes — rear-facing infant, forward-facing toddler and booster seats are available at $25–$35 per seat on sedan, SUV and Sprinter bookings. Specify the seat type and child age at reservation; California, New York and most European and Middle Eastern markets have strict child-seat requirements and the desk flags the right configuration for your route.

How is Chauffyr different from Uber Black or standard rideshare?

Chauffyr fares are fixed before dispatch — no surge, no post-ride adjustment — and every chauffeur is background-vetted, trained in protocol and insured with higher commercial limits than rideshare. You also get a 24/7 US-based desk that answers the first ring, airport flight tracking with 60 minutes of complimentary wait, and the same chauffeur across multi-stop days when booked hourly.

Does Chauffyr serve private jet FBO terminals?

Yes — Chauffyr serves 200+ FBOs worldwide with plane-side chauffeur meets where airport authority permits, including Signature Aviation, Atlantic Aviation, Jet Aviation and Million Air networks. Share your tail number at booking and the desk times the car to the handler’s clearance window. See /fbo for the directory.

How many airports does Chauffyr cover?

Chauffyr covers 120+ commercial airports and 200+ FBOs across 50+ countries on six continents, all booked through one 24/7 US-based desk. Our seven Northern California airports (SFO, SJC, OAK, APC, CCR, STS, SMF) run on our own Global Luxury Ride fleet; everywhere else runs through a vetted affiliate network held to the same standard.
