The SL metro (T-bana), tram, and ferries cover tourist routes well. A chauffeur is most useful for Arlanda transfers, Kista Science City / Solna corporate stops, Nobel-week block bookings, and multi-stop days that mix Djurgården museums with Södermalm dinners. Arlanda has four passenger terminals; Terminals 2 and 5 handle most international arrivals, Terminals 3 and 4 handle domestic. Frantzén (Michelin three-star, Norrmalm) is the big booking. Operakällaren (Norrmalm) is the historic choice. Gamla Stan (Old Town, Royal Palace), Vasa Museum on Djurgården (the preserved 17th-century warship), the Nordiska Museet and Skansen open-air museum, Fotografiska on Södermalmskajen, and City Hall (where Nobel banquet is held) are mainstays. For local feel: Södermalm (SoFo, hip bars), Vasastan (classic residential), Östermalm (fine shopping).
Morning: ARN pickup → Grand Hôtel drop. Mid-morning: Gamla Stan walk + Royal Palace. Lunch: Bakfickan (Operakällaren) or Nook.
